Sewing Bucket Hat Workshop
This workshop is perfect for our recent beginners and seasoned sewists alike. Make the ultimate spring accessory: a custom Bucket Hat. Pre-requisite: Must have taken the Introduction to Sewing: The Basics. Supply Fee: $12.00 -Includes pattern, step-by-step instructions, and the "Secret Sauce” professional mid-weight fusible interfacing to give your brim that perfect, crisp shape.
What to Bring: Your own sewing machine, basic sewing kit (scissors, pins/clips, matching thread), and your choice of 2 fabulous fabrics or the same. 1/2 yard of each fabric.
️Supply List:
To make sure your hat looks professional and stays sturdy, please bring the following:
1. The Fabric (½ Yard Each x2)
Exterior: Choose a fabric with structure! Cotton or heavy-weight linen works best. Pro-tip: Non-directional prints are highly recommended for the best look.
Lining: A light to medium-weight cotton (like quilting cotton or poplin). Again, non-directional prints are your friend here.
2. The Essentials
Sewing Machine (Don't forget your power cord and foot pedal)
Needles: Universal 80/12 or 90/14.
Thread: All-purpose polyester or cotton in a matching color.
Cutting Tools: Sharp fabric scissors.
Assembly: Pins or sewing clips to manage those curves.
