Fort King Primitive Experience: Primitive Fire Starting
Join living historian Andy Warrener of the Fort King Heritage Foundation for an immersive, hands-on introduction to traditional fire-starting methods. Learn how to spark a flame using flint and steel, make your own char cloth and tinder "bird nests," and take home a fire-starting kit you build yourself. The class also includes a demonstration and instruction on the bow drill technique- an ancient and powerful method of creating fire through friction.
