Reiki for Relaxation and Stress-Relief
This introductory course provides an accessible, educational overview of Reiki as a relaxation and stress-management practice. Designed for adults 55+, the class focuses on understanding the origins and principles of Reiki as a contemporary wellness modality, while maintaining a practical, non-dogmatic approach suitable for a wide range of perspectives.
Participants will learn what Reiki is, how it is commonly used in modern wellness settings, and how its principles can be applied in everyday life to encourage relaxation, calm awareness and stress reduction. Emphasis is placed on gentle self-awareness techniques, breathwork and mindfulness-based practices that support emotional balance and well-being.
The course also explores how individuals may incorporate simple relaxation routines into daily life, helping participants build tools for managing stress in a calm, grounded and practical way. No prior experience or belief system is required, and all concepts are presented in an educational, discussion-based format.
