This classroom-based AARP Driver Safety course is designed for drivers age 50 and older who want to refresh their driving knowledge and skills. The course reviews current traffic laws, safe-driving strategies and techniques for adapting to age-related changes that may affect driving.
Florida drivers age 55 and older who successfully complete this course may qualify for an automobile insurance premium reduction for three years, subject to eligibility requirements under Section 627.0652, Florida Statutes (2026). Participants should contact their insurance provider regarding eligibility and applicable discounts after completion of this course.
AARP Course Fee: AARP will collect a $20 fee for AARP members or $25 for non-members on the day of class. This fee includes all AARP-approved course materials. The $5 fee paid at registration is MTP's registration fee and is separate from the AARP course fee.
AARP Members:To receive the AARP member rate, you must verify your membership by presenting a current AARP membership card on the day of class. Please bring your AARP membership card (if applicable) and driver's license to class.
