America's Second Spymaster: Elizabeth Van Lew

This aristocrat abhorred slavery and when the war broke out, she hated to see the Union broken apart. She followed the protocols that a CIA Case Officer does today, in a courageous effort to bring resolution to this page in American history. She is enshrined in the United States Military Intelligence Hall of Fame for her deeds in this war.
