Lars Andersen is a full-time river guide and naturalist for Adventure Outpost in High Springs, Florida. He is author of "Paynes Prairie: A History and Guide," "The Paddlers Guide to the Suwanee River Wilderness Trail," and "The Paddlers Guide Map to the Gilchrist County Blueway." In 1988, he wrote and produced a self-guided tour on audio cassette, "The North Florida Adventure." In 2014, he was honored with the Award of Excellence by the Florida Master Naturalist Program. Other awards include: "Unsung Hero of the Year" award from the Florida Defenders of Environment in 2015, and the "Springs Advocate of the Year" award from Florida Springs Institute in 2017.
