As the Co-Founder of Iron Disorders Institute, Chris Kieffer has been interested in Genetics since 1992, when husband was diagnosed with Genetic Disorder of Iron Metablism. Kieffer has worked closely with both CDC & NIH. Since 1993, Kieffer has done over 60 TV & speaking awareness programs. May 2001, Kieffer attended Celebration In DC when the Genetic Code was broken With Dr Francis Collins, Chairperson of Human Genome Project for NIH. Kieffer is currently a Certified DNA Technician working in the field of Pharmacogenomics (How our Genome reacts to Medications)
