By the time Carla Traudt had graduated from high school, in 1964, she had traveled the country twice, hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, hiked the Pacific Crest trail from Mt. Whitney to Half Dome, met Ansel Adams in Yosemite, watched the sunrise over The Bay of Fundy, and camped on the dunes of Cape Hatteras. In 1962, she was stepped on by a bear and her cub while sleeping in the backcountry of Yellowstone. She has since had a love affair with Yellowstone and America’s National Parks. She has worked at Yellowstone for the last ten summers. Come hear her stories.
