World Literacy Day

Joseph Bartosh

World Literacy Day is Sept. 8. It is a day to celebrate the advances in literacy in countries around the world, as well as explore the many challenges still remaining. We will look at the successes in some of the world's most impoverished countries, as well as the much work still to be done. With society becoming more global, we will see how literacy is so important so that large segments of the world's population does not simply be left behind by a problem that is well able to be corrected.
